ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Tabitha Robinson is a native of Alabama where she studied clarinet with Dr. Denise Gainey, Mark Brandon, and Dr. Brian Viliunas. She attended Jacksonville State University on a full music scholarship where she received a bachelor’s degree in music education. She also received a master’s degree in music education from Samford University. Tabitha is a Backun clarinet artist that has been teaching privately for about ten years and also has extensive experience in the music industry.
I currently play with The Alabama Winds which recently performed at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago. At present, I teach clarinet privately and at local schools in Alabama. I am also a clarinet instructor with Dawson Music Academy and Meadow Brook School of the Arts. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and skill levels. I specialize in starting beginners with no experience on the clarinet and also preparing students for competitions like honor bands or college scholarship auditions. My goal is to enable students to become independent musicians and to provide new opportunities that will assist them with future endeavors.
